MUSIC

I compose harp-led ambient works shaped by field recordings, voice, keyboard and electronics.

The river harp story.
In recent years I lived in a remote woodland area in Lithuania beside a river, recording sounds and filming it for hours and days. Through sustained listening I began to hear harmonics and overtones in the river’s sound that, in my perception, resembled harp-like resonance. It was a calling that kept showing up in my dreams and the urge kept growing. Learning harp emerged from that listening and my dedicated practice to music making: as a direct continuation of the same attention to place within and without, texture, and time.

MARA MARA - Album in Progress (Preview Excerpts)

MARA MARA is my first album, currently in progress and planned for release soon. It emerged from field recordings and compositions made during a residency at Pedvale Sculpture Park, Latvia, in November 2024, where the late-autumn landscape metamorphosis became the source of the music.

Guided by Māra as a life-giving mother deity in Latvian mythology, and by parallel in other traditions Mara as a force of life and death, the work holds this duality: decay and renewal, grief and love, solitude and union. The album weaves landscape recordings with harp, piano, voice and singing bowls.
